The Graduate Certificate allows students who already have a bachelor’s degree in a different discipline or experience in another profession to obtain a greater understanding of gerontology theory and research.

The graduate certificate in gerontology provides an opportunity for those who have completed a bachelor’s degree in another field to obtain a greater understanding of gerontology theory and research. The program offers a broad range of knowledge, which relate to professional practice.

Focusing on the science, policy and core educational areas our master’s degree cover, the graduate certificate does not require a field practicum and serves to add an executive polish to a student’s existing educational and professional background.
