Program Curriculum 

The Master of Education in Sports Administration and Leadership (MSAL) program offers core courses and specialized electives to prepare leaders in sports. 

Students can choose electives under two focuses: Coaching or Postsecondary Athletic Administration. Coaching electives explore topics like coaching philosophy, identity development and emerging trends, while administration electives focus on athletic management, student-athlete dynamics and Title IX issues. 

Capstone 

The program culminates in a Capstone course, allowing students to apply their learning from the program’s core and focus courses to real-world contexts within sport that align with their current or aspirational roles. Through this culminating project, students demonstrate critical thinking, ethical decision-making and strategic communication, showcasing their readiness to lead and effect positive change across the sports landscape.
