USC Authorized States
USC has authorized programs in all states that require authorization of our programs. Please note that some states do not require an authorization process and USC is exempt by the regulations of that state. USC is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. For additional information on USC’s accreditation, please visit: https://accreditation.usc.edu.
The approval status may be one of 4 options:
- Institutional: USC has been approved as an institution along with all programs that are offered
- Programmatic Approval: USC must have each program approved by the state (some programs many not be approved in all states)
- Programmatic Approval for Experiential Learning programs: only programs with a required field component/clinical/internship must be approved by the state, all other programs will be considered ok as part of our institutional offerings
- Exempt: All programs are available as the state has allowed us an exemption from state authorization requirements
